Default Halloween candy

Ours is sitting on the kitchen table in a large bowl. I have to pass by it
everytime I go to get more water.

It is now covered up with a dish towel. Out of sight...out of mind....

or at least for now. g

Don't let the candy goblin get you this weekend...

I was thinking of either putting ours on the refrigerator, and only bringing
it down for guests, or maybe putting it in an unimportant Tupperware
container and setting it outside for people to just take as they please, or
when guests walk it... just some suggestions.

Most of mine will go to work on Monday. Some might get stored for
cross-country ski trips. But, actually, I still have some stall
Snickers bars from LAST HALLOWEEN. I guess I have been pretty good!
(G) And did not attempt to give THOSE out this year! (G)

If you had handed out the stale candy this year, I bet you wouldn't
have to think about handing out ANY candy in years to come. Nobody'd
come back!

Ours will go to the office on Monday too. I work at a IT training school and
the students (adults) love FREE stuff.

I did have a few pieces of candy last night but I had the points left over
at the end of the day. I also saved 4 mini-tootsie rolls for my lunch today
(1 point for 4). That's hopefully will be the last of the candy for me this
year.

I live in a townhouse development with plenty of kids. I also have a 13 year
old. I don't think we'd get away with not handing out candy to the kids. We
actually had twice as many kids this year than last. Maybe because the
weather was good helped bring them out. In 2001 we had hardly any kids. That
was probably due to 9-11. We are in NJ and nobody was in the mood that year
for any holidays.

The best solution to Halloween Candy is to NOT have any in the house. Kids
are at an age now....just dont care. So we dont do the whole candy thing.
Helps me, cuz I could eat the whole bag!

Can you say "raw eggs and toilet paper all over your house"?

what you are saying...we have lived places that have lots of kids and they
would revolt if you didnt have candy!

So, I goofed by not discouraging next year's visitors by not giving
out stale candy. I may have to reconsider - the stuff will be two
years old next year (G)
