Default New law in Canada

I'm from Montreal, canada, and low-carbing since few months.

Yesterday I read in the newpaper that they will, in december2005, bannish
all products that are low-carb, and it will be bannish to wrote on a product
the number of carb it contains!!!! They say that there are no proof that
low-carb products are good for the health and that's why they will bannish
them!!! I think that's completly ridiculous! We have the right to decide
what we want to eat or not!!!

Hum!

Annie

I don't understand that. That denies you the choice of knowing what is in
the food you eat, and you certainly have the right to know that. You
Canadians have been letting your government exercise too much authority over
your lives.

Come to think of it, we Americans are guilty of the same thing.

I would like to see a link to this. I really can't believe that it is true
to be honest. A link, or I am a non-believer.

Hi Annie,
Funny you mention this, my doctor and I were talking about this today, but
I'm afraid you have the wrong facts or at least misread them. They are
going to stop labelling the low carb products as low carb specialty foods on
the front of the packages, they won't be able to say Atkins endorsed and
they are not changing any nutrition labels.
