really good salad dressing recipes?
I am looking for homeade salad dressing recipes. Almost everything in the
store tastes like crud if it's diet, and has way too many calories if it's not. There have got to be some tasty recipes that have less calories! I don't care if they are completely void of fat, but reduced would be nice. A good homeade honey mustard, or ranch would sure be nice... |

Good Seasons packets aren't bad plus you know you're putting in a healthy oil(fat), vinegar and water. -- Cheese http://cheesensweets.com/contacts/cheese.php |

Have you tried the wish bone salad spritzers? They taste really good and a
great way to control the amount of dressing you use. Roxan "determined" wrote in message . .. I am looking for homeade salad dressing recipes. really good salad dressing recipes?
Hi,
This is a recipe I do that every one in my extended family loves, and they don't know it's low calorie! Ingredients: GOOD SEASONS SALAD DRESSING MIX GOURMET CAESAR (15c per packet 2g carb) Make the Ceasar dressing according to directions, substituting the following ingredients for regular milk and mayo.... FAT FREE MAYONNAISE (10 calories per serving +-) 1% MILK OR NONFAT PLAIN YOGURT(water to thin) Put in blender and add below: 1 LARGE BUNCH OF FRESH CELANTRO (CORRIANDER LEAVES) CHOPPED. Very fresh tasting and the celantro makes it dificult to detect it is non or very low fat. Great with mexican type of salads with grilled chicken, some salsa and just a few chip crumbles. determined wrote: I am looking for homeade salad dressing recipes. I always loved the blue cheese dressing which of course is loaded with fat and salt. Finally, I decided to give up on all salad dressing. At first it seems rough to eat a salad without dressing. Now I don't even think about it and never use salad dressing at all. When you do that, you get the added benefit of getting to eat a LOT MORE salad besides. dkw |

I like the dressing. And I'm not willing to give it up. But I am willing to find a happy medium. That's what I'm looking for. I'm not willing to give up anything - coffee, chocolate, occasional cheeseburgers, potato chips, fries, brownies, etc. Just looking for the balance between health and food. |

Right now, I am honestly stuck on the old standby: extra virgin olive oil
and red wine vinegar. It's just hard to beat for health and flavor. ep "determined" wrote in message . .. I am looking for homeade salad dressing recipes. My favorite. Very simple and easy, almost no calories, and I love the way it tastes. Probably a bit high in sodium, but I care more about calories than that. Soy sauce (I use the low sodium kind). Seasoned rice wine vinegar. Splenda. A bit of minced ginger (I get mine already minced in a tube). Mix above to taste. I probably use about a teaspoon or two of each to dress a large salad. -- Annie As of 11-09-06: 258/182/140 Standing at 5 foot 4. 76 pounds lost. 42 left to go. Two teaspoons of the stuff would be pretty intense! -- Annie As of 11-09-06: 258/182/140 Standing at 5 foot 4. 76 pounds lost. 42 left to go.
