Default REC: Low Carb Tortilla Hot Dogs

My husband brought home a package of large garlic franks tonight
and I had a treat that tasted as decadent as a baseball or carnival hotdog:

Wrap the frank in a small low carb tortilla (I used the green onion flavor)
Preheat the oven to 425
Sprinkle the tortilla with seasoning of your choice
Spray the tortilla with cooking spray of your choice
Place the tortilla seam side down directly on the baking rack
Bake until the tortilla is lightly golden / brown or to your desired texture

I had this with mustard that I squirted into the tortilla after it
came out of the oven and it was wonderful! It is also quick which is a plus.

Stay fat, stay eating all the wrong things. And DO NOT EXERCISE. You are on
the right path. God bless...

Hi Andrea,

I am not an idiot nor a troll. Well, maybe an idiot, but definitely not a
troll. Google me. You will see. Low carb is hard enough without subbing all
the bad foods.

All I did was post a recipe for those interested in low carb. Many franks are
low carb. Your response was rude and uncalled for. Maybe we should stuff that
low carb tortilla with some sugary sweet carby concoction? There are many low
carb things one can fill those tortillas with, and this is just one suggestion
others may enjoy that fits into the low carb diet.

Low carb is not difficult. It has been the easiest way of eating I have
ever tried, other than shoving everything I see down my pie hole. I've been
able to stick to it longer than any other so-called diet I've tried.

Many people here have no problem with a wide variety of tasty foods. You
have no idea how large or how small a part of Andrea's diet the hot dog
(which I may try) plays. She may be watching caloric intake and use the hot
dog as an alternative to fast food. She may have kids who like hot dogs and
finds it easier to cook one meal instead of two each night. There are
dozens of scenarios. With such little information at your disposal, I'm
surprised you chose to criticize and judge instead of encourage and support.

Andrea--thanks for the recipe.

lost 20 pounds and am keeping it off. And just sharing my journey.

You're an idiot. I am 5'7"1/2 and weigh 127 and workout

regularly and
am using low carb for maintenance. I'd challenge you to a marathon

anyday. If
you want to be a troll, go somewhere else and quit harassing those who

are
trying to improve their health. My husband is trying to lose weight and

I'm
doing what I can to help him which includes creative recipes. If you

don't
like it, no need to respond. Others may enjoy it. Now crawl back into

your
very dark hole.

Carmen:
Rich, there is no one "right way" to low carb. There was nothing wrong
with Andrea's recipe - the tortillas are very high fiber. Occasional
frankfurters aren't going to kill anyone. If it keeps her husband on
the straight and narrow then it's a asset to his eating style. Low carb
can be difficult - and for some it's more so if they don't have some
semblance of certain foods. I use the tortillas regularly, drink
caffeinated coffee and use artificial sweetener. I lost 100 pounds and
have kept it for for over 3 years now. Please try to remember the
"YMMV" mantra the next time you post something like the above
statements.

Take care,
Carmen
