Moving! Wow! And ack, I'd better get those cookbooks off to you
ere that happens. Same addy?

If you have the address in Winnipeg, it's the same. But again, no hurries!

That's obviously the kiss of death!!!!

I'll let you know in December if we make it to NH. I'd love to hit Boston
and the Cambridge area, but it's hard travelling around with my niece--she's
only 4 so her parents tend to schedule everything around her schedule (what
would keep her interested, her naptimes, etc.). She gets cranky when she
doesn't get her nap!

BTW, the job in Japan would be in Kobe--an excellent area to visit!

What kind of job, Rona?

rona (I'd have gone to e-mail, but I have a vague memory that you filter
all hotmail and yahoo addresses)

No, I don't--but there have been some vagaries in email delivery
recently, and it is not clear to me whether yahoo is part of that.

Teaching--this time at a private high-level girls' high school. It's
supposed to be a very good program with many of their students going on to
top universities so I think both the teachers and the students will be great
to work with. I've been in some not-so-good teaching environments so I'm
really looking forward to this (if it happens). Plus the benefits rock!

It must have been someone else who was kf-ing hotmail and yahoo. Well, the
only benefit to using hotmail has been that SWEN goes straight to my junk
mail folder and is deleted immediately. Of course, anyone not in my address
book or on my safe list also goes there. Oops!

ObLC-ing: I've been practicing going without rice for the last few days.
Last night I had sausage, eggs, and guylan for dinner and tonight it was
salmon and baby bok choy. I didn't miss the rice so much, but I also had a
bowl of popcorn and some cake today so it's not like I'm carb free. But
it's just practice!

Teaching English or something else? When I was there, gaijin
women were treated very well compared to the Japanese women, and
our compensation was much better also. It was pretty irritating,
even though I benefited from it.

Hi Jean,

I replied via e-mail with a hotmail address (I think piepie8). Hope it gets
to you but if not, let me know and I'll try a different address.

It might be buried in my 900+ messages. I'll look for it
tomorrow. :-)
