First candy corn, now horseradish. These things do not even resemble food!
Y'all are nuts! Just kidding, kinda. I had a bad horseradish experience in
high school, someone gave me a half a slice of bread from their sandwich, I
folded it up and stuck the whole thing in my mouth, not knowing it was
DRENCHED in horseradish. Unbelievable pain. A very traumatic experience.
I am scarred for life. I can't even tolerate the slightest bit of
horseradish in sauces.

Many years ago we were at some friends' house for a sushi party. A few of
us were sitting at the table mixing up wasabi from powder. We were all quite
familiar with sushi and it's accompanying condiments. For some reason that
will forever remain a mystery, the guy sitting at the table with us took a
teaspoonful of mixed wasabi, stuck it in his mouth and swallowed it! We (his
girlfriend and I) were absolutely ASTONISHED, not to mention HORRIFIED! To
this day I have NEVER seen anyone's face turn quite such a vivid shade of RED
-- in fact, I don't think I've ever even seen a TOMATO turn quite such a vivid
shade of red! He did survive, but really, something that outlandish could
have had deadly consequences :-0

I heard of someone going to a sushi restaurant and eating a glob of
wasabi thinking it was guacamole.

He was very surprised too.
