Default Weight Loss Supplements

These are the ones recommended in Dr. Perricone's weight loss book.

Omega 3 fatty acids (in fish oil)
Alpha Lipoic Acid
Astaxanthin
Carnitine
Acetyl-L-Carnitine
Conjugated Linoleic Acid
Coenzyme Q10
Chromium
Gamma Linolenic Acid
Glutamine
Maitake Magic
Dimethylaminoethanol

Which ones do you use, if any? I use fish oil so far. I think it's
working great and I'm thinking of getting some more supplements to kick
up the weight loss and health benefits some more notches. I think I'll
get at least 1 more supplement to start off with, probably alpha lipoic
acid. Dr. Perricone says he likes that one a lot.

I simply take a multi-vitamin and additional calcium (doctor's suggestion).
I think I'll put my money on diet and exercise to lose weight instead of
spending money on supplements.

I've done some reading on Dr. Perricone and don't think I have enough faith
in his method to want to send him any of my money for his supplements.

Yeah -- I watched in infomercial with him once, and he came across to
me as kind of a snake oil salesman. It's convenient for him that he
just happens to sell really high-priced versions of all these
supplements he's recommending, isn't it :-) ?

I do think some of these supplements have potential value -- but I
rely on multi-vitamins also. And if I did want to buy one of them I
wouldn't buy it from Dr. Perricone; I'd just go to Vitamin Shoppe or
wherever.

None. If I want fish oil, I eat fish.

I do take a woman's multi vitamin, organic estrogen replacement, St.
John's Wort, Glucosomine-condroitin and a calcium chew (chocolate!).

Many people disagree with the good doctor's ideas.

When you refer to Dr. Perricone's weight loss book, are you referring to
"The Perricone Promise" or another one?

I tried his "3-Day Face-Lift" plan, not to lose weight, but to see if it
actually would improve the appearance of the skin on my face (it's
extremely dry...sun damaged...with some wrinkles). After 3 days on this
eating plan, I was amazed at how well the skin on my face
appeared...friends even commented on it....I was extremely pleased. --

It's another book:
The Perricone Weight-loss Diet:
A Simple 3-part Program To Lose The Fat, The Wrinkles, And The Years
by Nicholas Perricone

I mix soy sauce and wasabi and I dip the salmon in it. I like it that
way.
It's also pretty good with some salad dressings.

And you're a mindless ****tarded asshole who only knows how to regurgitate
commercialized diet crap rather than do any intelligent reasearch of your
own. You don't even know what you are eating or drinking, you simply rely
on the fancy label and bogus claims your products make. Like your "Green
Goodness" which is absolutely loaded with sugar. Might as well drink a
coke.

I think many of us disagree with the good doctor's ideas. Does that make
all of us bitches
