Hello,

I always have more calories than I want to on the weekend. That is the time
that I
travel a great deal and eat in those blasted restaurants. For one thing,
the cooks
use a lot of grease/butter in the baking/grilling to baste their meats, but
of course
they don't tell you this.

Caleb, I know that scale wants to go down, the trick is to talk to it. Say
really nice
things to it before you step on it. It works miracles. LOL

I will update my weight changes tomorrow.

Have a great evening/morning/day, whatever time it is when you read this.

Jackie

P.S. If you try the cabbage let me know how you like it!

Day 64 and still 28 pounds gone

Got on my scale this morning and saw that my weight had not gone any
lower. Too bad!

I had a few more calories this weekend than I wanted to, but still the
indicator wanted to go down. Oh, well! I hope by Friday I have 30
pounds gone. If not by Friday, than it will happen soon.

I was hanging doors this weekend with my far-better half, and it is
fun seeing better doors to some of our rooms. A lot of satisfaction
seeing them up.

The day has been beautiful here so far - blue sky, flowers are lovely.
Yesterday we walked around a portion of SE Portland displaying various
kinds of art work. Some of the places were truly amazing, including a
woodshop next to a place that made bronze statuary. Making bronze
statues requires a variety of intricate steps. (Bronze statues are
largely hollow, this to reduce their weight and the amount of bronze
[with related copper] used.)

After I do an hour or two of paper work, I hope to go up my little
hill.

I hope everyone is having a great week and a great month!

Yours truly,

Caleb

Jackie -- I absolutely agree that weekends are more difficult for many
people than weekdays. Sure is true for me and I rarely have chefs
plying their chafing dishes for my taste buds.

I'm speaking lovingly to my scale -- but it seems (doggone it!) to
respond only to the cold and heartless calculus of calories in versus
calories consumed. Rats! Darn it! Drat! etc. (Put your own
imprecation in here.)

But at least I'm down another pound, and 36 more to go. Now the pounds
get harder to get rid of!

Yours,

Caleb
