Default Uncovering the Atkins diet secret

I think it has a little to do with seeing results.
I have not seen the dramatic results in anyone
that was on a low fat diet that I have witnessed on
a low carb diet. Results equal pride and thus people
would eat less to try to add fuel to the fire.
I do think watching calories and fat intake is a
good thing to do once someone is over the hump and
steady on the diet.
I lost 65 pounds eating pretty freely and not exercising. What
I did not do was keep it off. I went back into old habits and
still didnt exercise. The key to losing the weight and keeping
it off is 100% realization that we will have to struggle and
watch the scales for ever. Some people are blessed with
bodies that allow them to eat anything but others are not. I think
now with this go around I finally understand what I need to do and
its a life long process not just a year or so diet.
However LC diets work-- they work.

Bull. You said yourself you didn't exercise and you overate as soon as
you lost some initial weight. Genetics has some to do with it, but
unless you are exercising regularly and not stuffing your face with
crap you can't blame your weight problem on genetics. It is the
biggest copout going. You really think that those thin people you see
on the street can eat anything they want? I bet a vast majority of
them work their butts off in the gym and watch what they eat closer
that most.
