Hey all!
was just given a GF grill and I was wondering if anyone had any
suggestion for uses-tips-recipes etc...

I guess you're right. I've had mine for probably 3-4 years and I guess
I'm using it less and less.

I like most meats and fish cooked to their minimum safe temperature,
juicy and tender. That means I need to sear them quickly at a high
temperature then finish the cooking at a much lower temperature. The GF
grill doesn't let me do this at all since it's at a constant setting.
In addition, by design the heavy lid basically squeezes the juice from
the meat. I find the outdoor BBQ allows me much more cooking freedom
and let's me adjust times and temperatures.

I still use it for quick meals like I mentioned above (chicken, boneless
pork chops, vegetables and sandwiches). If I have more time, I'll pan
sear then bake.

Oh, I know. I use it as a pre-cooker. If I'm making a pasta sauce for
instance I will butterfly, brown and degrease sausage or pepperoni with
the GF grill then slice it and add it to the slow cooking pasta sauce.
