I found 2.5 gram carb bagels

These are from a company called Low Carb Emporium

7 grain fiber bagels(sesame)
these are Kosher. Ingredients a
Almond flour, soy flour, bran flour, whole wheat flour, oat flour, sesame
flour, unbleached flour, vital wheat, wheat germ, sunflower seeds, salt,
anise seeds, cream or tartar, rye sour, egg whites, sucralose, dry yeast,
soy protien, olive oil, sesame seeds.
The package claims 5g carb minus 4g fiber =1 net carb for the sesame bagel:

They are pretty good as pizza crust, ahem with cream cheese, for tuna melt
9eat half, etc. life is grand!

Be very wary of these kinds of "low carb" baked goods. The link below shows
you what the Sun Sentinal newspaper found when it sent a bunch of "low carb"
baked goods to a lab for analysis.

that is illogical.

not they say mislabled for guideline violations.

IE do they account for the carbs that do not count.

Data without in one WHAT the data means or wear it came from is irrelevant
and ignored.

I need HOW they came to those numbers AND how the accused SOURCE came to
those numbers.

First thing that caught my eye is that each bagel is 2.5 servings (15
servings for a package of 6 bagels.). That's not a good sign - they
play games to make the numbers look better right off the bat. Secondly,
I think they played the presubtraction game, and that the true totals
are 9 grams of carbs of which 4 are fiber.

You've got to be careful with these foods. There are quitte a few
companies that will merrily take your money while they lead you astray.

Take care,
Carmen

I don't mean to rain on your parade but I'd be wary if I were you. The
nutrient data is exactly the same for all the different flavors including
the raisin and blueberry ones. Both of those should be higher in carbs and
calories than the plain. The numbers also don't add up. According to the
info there are 32 calories coming from fat and 4 from protein. That leaves
16 calories unaccounted for which would equal 4g carbs per serving.
