Egg trick

GlacierAfter boiling is finished then immediately cool the eggs in cold tap water, then my eggs peel easier.

Eggs peel easier if they are fresh. Non-fresh eggs are the problem.

BTW, for hard-boiled eggs of perfection DO NOT BOIL. Bring to a boil,
cover, and turn off heat. Eggs will cook very nicely without hard
boiling. The flavor is better, and they peel easier too.

What makes the flavor better?

Actually the opposite is true. Fresh eggs are harder to peel.

That is the exact opposite of what I have personally experienced
and what I have repeatedly heard!!!!

Eggs that are overcooked taste sulfurous and rubbery.

Eggs that are fresh peel easier.

Please buy a Egg Steamer form Wal-Mart Meijer Chef's Catalog and you will
forever have the best Hard or Soft boiled eggs. No more green tint to the
outside layer of the yolk. Steam them - place in cold water for 2 min and
peel.
I do 18 eggs at a time and store in a container with water and a teaspoon of
salt. They keep for 2 weeks and are always ready to eat as a snack throw in
a lunch or add to a salad for dinner.

Putting your un-peeled eggs in cold water after boiling will also stops the
yoke from turning dark or black

But you've just been given methods that produce perfect hard boiled eggs
every time without spending $20.

Or to frowst with a book by the fire,
But to take a large hoe and a shovel also,
And to dig till you gently perspire.
