Cholesterol behavior

[Nomenclature]

I just completed 6 weeks of Atkins. Weight-losing-wise it is working
fabulously
A few days ago I had a lipid test dones and I have some questions on what to
expect as I go along

OLD NEW
Tot Ch 233 255

HDL 35 42

LDL 151 185

Triclycerides 237 139

I like the HDL and Triglyceride numbers but am still concerned with the
Total and especially the LDL
Can I expect these numbers to start going down after another 6-12 weeks on
Atkins?
I have heard that is presicley what happens but can't verify it

Cholesterol is hard to predict. However, as long as your insulin levels are
down, and you are taking plenty of vitamin E and other anti-oxidants,
cholesterol won't harm you. You have a good HDL/LDL ratio and your
Triglycerides are way down, and that is the important thing.
