View Full Version : It's a bit harder

It's a bit harder this week. My nanny called in sick on Friday, so I called
Dad in to take care of the kids, because I have landed a huge contract and I
really couldn't not work on that day. We had fish at lunch, but in the
evening I really was exhausted and Dad is not one to really cook. So we
ended up ordering from this popular rôtisserie and getting chicken with..
fries! I didn't eat much, but ended up taking almost all my extra points in
one single meal. And then I took about 2 points over every day after that,
which leaves me with only one point extra.

I'm thinking I have only two days now to go before the next weigh in, so I
figure it shouldn't be too hard, but it seems as if eating all that bad food
on Friday got me back on a binge... craving all kinds of junk foods.

I've read somewhere that fat has an appealing taste, and some sort of "i
want more" enzyme, which is essential so that babies will feed on the fatty
essentials they need. Well. It seems as though I still have the baby craving
for fat. And chocolate, even though that's another story. Don't get me
started on that.

The nanny has given nutella to my daughter, and I was thoroughly POed. It's
not her fault: it was in the cupboard, right? That's my hubby's favorite,
and I forgot to mention I didn't want my baby to get it just yet. My baby
girl is very slim still, and so active I'm not worried about her weight.
Maybe I'm just jealous? Maybe I'd like that Nutella as well?

Life is hard sometines.

what is nuetella sp, screen reader pronounced it very oddly... also you are
staying aware of what you are eating so the week is not a failure even if
you gain, I have no trouble with any food except for fat, I can eat butter
or crème cheese like others eat chips or candy bars, good luck, Lee

Nutella is a chocolat and nuts spread... Like peanut butter, only better
tasting... and a lot more sweet and more points!

Life is hard at times and that's when you most need to succeed...The fact
that you are aware of your fall is a beginning...There will always be
roadblocks but if you just get back on plan your well on your way...It has
to come from within...For me something turned on Dec 21, 2005...I have
fallen off many times but rather than beat myself up I just move on...My
weight loss is significant and I couldn't be happier...On a personal note my
wife is very ill and if ever stress or bad food choices was gonna happen
it's now,...but I continue to lose...You can do it...Good luck...GG

Hi Isabelle,

Life is always hard and we need to learn to deal with its challenges without
turning to food. My life is currently stressed to the max. and there's some
days when I think I'm going to end up in the nut house!.......I get anxiety
attacks really bad, some call them panic attacks, but I try to deal with
them as best as I can.

The thing I keep foremost in my mind is that I'm not going to give on WW
never! no matter how hard life gets........if I give up now, then things
will only get worse.........if I continue to pay attention to what I eat and
try to maintain a healthy lifestyle, then I honestly believe that the stress
I am experiencing will eventually go away and I won't have to deal with the
added stress of failing at weight loss as well.

Hang in there! You can do this.............one day at a time.......

Every week will present challenges, some harder than others. Perhaps
you can ask your husband to move the nutella out of sight. Plan these
next two days and add of 0-1 point snacks for the times when you crave
the junk. Popcorn is a good filling alternative.

Chocolate!!! Did someone say chocolate?

My prayers are with you Gary.

I am powerless over chocolate and my life is unmanageable.

Isabelle-
Sorry to hear you're having a rough week. I wish I had a quick cure for
junk food cravings for you, but I don't. I like all things chocolate, too.
It's not the answer, but it does help me forget the question for a few
minutes! Sadly, it adds to the waistline. I've only been on the program
for 10 weeks now, and I still struggle with "How badly do I want this?" and
"Is this really worth the points?" The points question is the clincher.
Especially when I figure out I can have 2 pieces of fruit for the same
number of points as a fun size candy bar.

I'm not really sure what my point is with this rambling post :-) I just
wanted to wish you well and I hope your week is going better.

Hi, I don't know what happened, I replied to your post but it never showed
on my newsreader.
Nutella is a chocolate and nut spread for toasts... Mmmm
