View Full Version : day 3 - not so good

Day 2 went well, dispite a major stressor at the end of the business day.
A power outage caused me to have to shut down the office servers, and when
the power resumed, one of my mission critical servers came up with major
hardware failures. My fingers are raw and numb from replacing parts.

I got home late, but still made it to the gym for a good 35 min upper body,
ab workout then home to ride for 35 mins.

I was a bit sore and really highstrung so I took an excedrin PM> (half
dose). I did not sleep well last night dispite the PM.

This morning it was hard to get up. It was hard to sit and ride the bike
for 1/2 hr. I only managed an average speed of 9mph (usually I'm 15 -
17mph range) and the automatica calorie counter only managed to read just
over 80 cals in the 1/2 hr. (where as last night I did 200 in 35 mins).
Not that I'm counting calories that way. But it does show the lack of
energy expenditure.

At work - I'm starving. I'm guessing its the increased exercise combined
with being tired. I'm trying to stick to plan and I've eaten my oatmeal
this morning - but I'm still hungry. I just had a spoon of peanutbutter.

This is where it gets hard and it will take every ounce of will power to
get thru a day like today if I want to stick to my scheduled eating plan
and avoid the chocolate and junk. (thank god there is nothing in the
kitchen this morning or I'd be in big trouble.)

I've already turned down one offer for m&m's from a coworker.

My goals for today.
1. stick to my eating plan
2. drink 1 gallon of water. already 1/4 the way there, that'll be easy
3. Gym - Lower body workout
4. Evening ride - 30 mins and if I can muster the energy, intensity of at
least 15mph.
