A nearby grocery store has just gottten in the Carb Options products.
Since they are having a really good sale on outside round roasts
and I want to get a few for the freezer I am also going to look at
these products and possibly buy some if I like what I see on the
label.
Has anyone tried them and if so, what do you think of them?

Hi Jaime,
Just wanted to say that I like the cheese sauce, the alfredo sauce, and
the carb options salad dressing. I really don't care much for the BBQ
sauce because it seems to sweet for me, but YMMV. Today, my best snack
was raw zucchini strips and ranch dressing, and then somebody convinced
me to drink. LOL

Like the dressing, bought but haven't tried the cheeses, and like the BBQ
when I want a sweet sauce. Usually just use the Atkins BBQ though.

I saw Carb Options Cup a Soup (memories of Lipton's cupasoup as a child
flooding in). I wasn't mega-shopping that day so I didn't get any, but it
sounds great for work. I will let you guys know when I've tried it.

Thanks everyone. I will be heading to the store later today
and will check them out. I am really keen on the steaksauce
and the marinade but want to have a look at the ingredients listings
first before I commit.

I was thinking about getting the bbq sauce but my oven died on me last
night and I do not have a bbq.

I noticed in an ad in Low carb Living magazine that the steak sauce is
2 carbs per serving. HP sauce is around 6 or 7 carbs per serving so
if the taste is similiar this might be a good buy for me.

Never tried them.
For a good low carb salad dressing, try Lighthouse brand from Safeway.
Very low carbs, no hydrogenised crap, and they taste great. And they are
not low carb because of the recent LC craze, but have always been LC.

I don't think we even *have* a Safeway store in Hamilton.

Nope. I have never heard of one by that name here.
Our major chains are called......
The Barn
Food Basics
No Frills
Longos
Commissos
A&P (and if there are anymore of them in Hamilton it would surprise me
as most were converted to The Barn stores a couple of years back)
Sobeys
Ultra Mart
....and a *lot* of small independent ethnic/specialty grocers
scattered all throughout the city on both levels (the mountain and the
downtown area)
I could probably find it if I took out the yellow pages and called
every store but that would be very time consuming.

I've bought and tried the crunchy PB and the Iced Tea mix -- both were very
good. The iced tea mix is actually a bit sweeter than I would like.
I have a couple of other products at home I haven't tried yet (knorr brand
sauce, for one) - I will post when I do.

If you mean Litehouse brand salad dressings, that's a national brand,
not just a Safeway brand. Just look for it in the refrigerated salad
dressings.
I bought a jar of their Blue Cheese dressing when I first started
LC'ing, and it was great. Now I'm on the second jar, and it wasn't
until I'd finished a salad with it that I noticed I'd bought the
reduced-calorie version. It's 70 calories for a two-tablespoon
serving, and only a carb or two, just like the real version, so I
think I'll stick with low-calorie version. It means I can have that
third or fourth tablespoon on a big salad without feeling guilty.

I tried the French or was it Catalina? Anyway the brigiht orange one.
I like it tangy and bitey and they used way too much Splenda and it is
way too sweet. Love the Italian though.

Okay I will look for that as well. If it is in Hamilton I should find
it.

Litehouse blue cheese is yum.
the low carb brands taste bad to me. They put splenda in everything....
I don't want sweet bbq, salad dressing, marinara sauce and so forth.
